Used VW Caddy Maxi WAV

VW Caddy Maxi is an MPV that looks compact on the outside, but is spacious on the inside. It's a 670mm long van which means it offers more room inside for you and your wheelchair. Caddy models use three diesel engines, starting with the 101bhp 1.6 liter turbo diesel, which is very good for saving fuel. There are also 2.0 turbo diesels with 108hp and 138bhp. The 1.6 turbo diesel is available in the DSG twin clutch manual gearbox. You get the option of choosing a manual, automatic or semi auto gearbox.

The VW Crafter is the UK’s second-best selling WAV according to the chart above. It's a large vehicle, with plenty of space for the driver. It can be converted to driver-from-wheelchair or up-front passenger. Its storage pockets make sure you'll not be short of a place to stow large water bottles. 

The Crafter comes in four 2.0 liter turbo diesel engines: 102hp,122hp,140hp and 177hp. The Crafter has 3 lengths, starting with the 5.986mm (mid-length), 6.836mm (long wheelbase version), and 7.391mm (maxi-long wheelbase). It has a manual/automatic gearbox. The manual has a six-speed manual gearbox while the automatic has an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

The VW Transporter is one of the largest vehicles that’s suitable for wheelchair conversion. The interior is more luxurious than the other choices, making it not so cheap. The Transporter models are equipped with touchscreen infotainment fitted as standard. Its other features include a powered tailgate and rear seats that can be tipped, folded or completely removed.

You get the option of a manual or DSG automatic gearbox, with the latter being the best. Most Transporter models use 2.0-litre turbo diesel engines with 90,110,150,199 and 204hp. The 90hp and 110hp motors are combined with a five-speed manual gearbox, the 150hp engine comes with a six-speed manual gearbox, with the option to upgrade to a seven-speed DSG automatic, and the 199hp (later 204hp) version comes with the seven-speed DSG auto. 

Used VW Caravelle WAV

The VW Caravelle is a vehicle with a lot of seats, it could easily be confused for a VW Transporter. It's easy to drive, comfortable and suitable for long distances, so it's relatively economical. If you need a vehicle that can transport a large family or passengers, or if you need a van with a large boot space for equipment, VW Caravelle is the one for you.

The VW Caravelle is available with a pair of 2.0-litre diesel engine options: the turbo diesel 150 with 148bhp and the twin-turbo diesel 199 with 196bhp. They both  have a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.

The VW Sharan is a family MPV that suits a large family. It has a flexible seating layout that allows all seat bars to be folded flat, creating a huge amount of space. VW Sharan is available in petrol or diesel engine. The 1.4-litre 148bhp petrol  is good for short trips while the 2.0-litre diesels come in 148 and 175bhp with 56mpg, making it fuel economical. They are available in manual and automatic gearboxes.
